Our 2013 Juniors Hot Picks are in. Here’s a brief overview of each trend, along with some ideas on how to wear them to create a fabulous springtime look.

Printed Shorts
Printed Jeans were cool this winter, but this spring and summer, printed shorts are hot. We’ve got exotic animal and tribal prints, fun and flirty polka dots, pretty florals, classic stripes, and even designs so abstract, we couldn’t name them if we tried. (But they’re still awesome.)
Our favorite way to wear it: with a solid coordinating color blouse in soft cotton or cool chambray. Speaking of chambray…

Cool in Chambray
This denim-esque fabric is back from the 80′s. It’s durable just like denim, but in a lighter weight and a cooler, more breathable weave.
Our favorite silhouettes: the retro bustier and the tie-waist, t-shirt dress.

The New Shirt
The basic button-down is not so basic anymore. This classic menswear shape now comes in a more feminine silhouette, and it’s loaded with utility-inspired features: shoulder epaulettes, chest pockets and versatile roll-tab sleeves —just to name a few…
Our favorite way to wear it: with printed shorts. Choose a color that coordinates well.

The Babydoll
This lingerie-inspired trend has made its way to tops and dresses, in sheer, flowy fabrics that are blooming with fresh color. And we couldn’t be happier.
Our favorite way to wear it: pair a colorful pastel-hued top with a pair of white skinnies, or accessorize a babydoll dress with some strappy sandals.

Flower Power Florals
A celebration of warmer weather. Floral prints are all over shorts, tops and dresses this spring.
Our favorite way to wear it: pair floral-printed shorts with a coordinating solid bottom, and vice versa. The options are endless with these pretty pastels.

Fit and Flare
A figure-hugging bodice flares out at the hips to create an hourglass shape. These dresses are fun, flirty and feminine.
Our favorite way to wear it: pair with wedges and dress it up with your favorite fashion jewelry.

Retro Dots
We’re loving that retro trends have made a comeback. Are you? Polka dots bring a fresh, flirty vibe to any spring or summer ensemble.
Our favorite way to wear it: take a step back in time to our favorite decade —pair a polka-dotted bottom with a chambray top and some cateye sunglasses for a totally 1960′s look.
